Cookies the Betty Crocker way

This weekend Aly and myself thought we’d have a little go at baking something. Now this is the first time we’ve attempted something like this so we decided to start off small and something easy.

Well what better that a cookie mix where all you have to do is add water?

This Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Cookie mix was ideal for us, the pack makes 8 good sized cookies and all you have to do is add water.

Step 1. Tip the mix into a mixing bowl and add 4 tablespoons of water (it suggests 2 but that didn’t seem enough) and mix together to make a stiff dough.   Step 2. Put two heaped teaspoons of mix on a baking tray. Make sure you don’t put them too close together.

Step 3. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 170for about 10mins, then cool for a minute before putting them on a cooling rack.

I know its not exactly Masterchef but its a start and we will improve. It kept us both quiet and they tasted good so that is the main thing.
