How things have changed over the last 5 years or so. Nope not children this time but smartphones and the way we plan our days and lives.

Years ago I would make endless lists and still forget what I was meant to do during the day, now I use my smartphone for just about everything and I never go anywhere without it. I don’t think I’d even last a day without my phone.

Over the years I’ve had many different phones ranging from the original iPhone to various Nokia to my current phone Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which I purchased from Carphone Warehouse which I love. I love my technology and often find myself popping into a Carphone Warehouse when Laura is out shopping in some clothes shop and have to force myself not to buy something.

I can’t imagine a life now without a smartphone and without apps. The first thing I do in the morning is check Twitter using the brilliant TweetCaster Pro and then I follow that up with a read of Sky News.

Apps

The thing I love about my Samsung Galaxy Note is one of the home screens can be set so it shows up your favourite apps which saves time searching. Without doubt this has the apps I use the most especially the planner which luckily sends reminders so fingers crossed I won’t forget a meeting and I also put my blog reminders on it.

The most used app is without doubt my WordPress app which saves so much time. This app allows we to do everything I need on my blog and means I don’t have to load up the pc and can happily blog during the evening in front of the TV with a cup of tea.

Without my various apps I’d be a disorganised lost soul.

My wife has got an iPhone and seems to have downloaded just about every game app or puzzle app going and she wouldn’t be able to last an hour without her phone. An app actually helped us find it one time when she dropped her phone one time on the way home from school. We managed to use Where’s My Phone on the iPad and it tracked her phone to within a few metres and luckily there it was lying in the grass.  The app saves the day.

What apps can’t you live without?
