Who doesn’t love baking? Well I don’t but my wife has really got into it of late mainly with thanks to shows such as The Great British Bake Off and I love the tasting of what has been baked and I must say I’m becoming a pretty good tester.

Music For Kids Princess Recorder – Review + Competition

All through the house you can hear various different melodies and tunes…ha who am I kidding this house is nothing like that. Mia is normally stomping around banging a drum or a tin baking tray and Aly is usually singing an advert or silly song followed by a blast on a whistle.

What better way to try and resort some order in the house than a recorder? When I was growing up every child had a recorder but it was some brown coloured uninspiring thing.

These days you get all sorts and this Princess Recorder is perfect for little girls or it comes in a Pirate version. The pink pack comes with a pink recorder with loads of colourful and pretty stickers to decorate it with (remember not to cover the holes as Aly did)

Also included in the pack you get a carry case, a cleaning rod, a CD which helps to teach you about note B and A and a very helpful ‘Starting to Play…’ book.

To be fair to Aly she picked the notes up a little bit but did struggle at times and I was no help as I as musical as a badger. When her school start teaching her all about music I can see this being very helpful and it’s something she’ll use time and time again (as long as its not at 6am)

The set would make a lovely gift for Christmas for a child that’s just started learning music at school.
